Over 100 tourism leaders from across Canada signed a letter put forward by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada regarding the future of the International Convention Attraction Fund. The Budget 2025 did not renew the program that expires in March 2026. The $10 million annual investment delivers a 22-to-1 return and advances trade diversification and competitiveness objectives of the Government of Canada.
Other Manitoba signatories included Colin from Travel Manitoba, Michael on behalf of the Manitoba Hotel Association and Drew from the RBC Convention Centre.
